Yolanda Ho, DDS

Meet Dr. Yolanda

Dr. Yolanda Ho first discovered her passion for Periodontology while attending the University of Florida for her bachelor’s degree. Upon graduation, from the University of California, San Francisco, she received the American Academy of Periodontology’s Award for Achievement—an award reserved for the dental student who displayed the highest level of academic and clinical achievement. She finished her specialty training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for Periodontology with a combined Master in Medical Sciences.

Dr. Yolanda has much enthusiasm for education, leading as class president in dental school and chief resident in her specialty. Her master’s work on the use of a novel antimicrobial solution on periodontal pathogens and oral soft  tissue earned her the Award for Outstanding Contributions to Dental Research by a Post-Doctoral Student.

Dr. Yolanda’s practice philosophy is centered on patient empowerment through building an understanding of one’s oral health. By facilitating patient education and centering patient’s needs, a strong partnership can be developed to ensure successful surgical interventions and long lasting outcomes.

Dr. Yolanda has worked in private practice in Boston. While serving a robust urban population, she has had the opportunity to treat challenging cases. She is well versed in the field of oral implantology (regarding placement, sinus lifts, and ridge augmentation); periodontal plastic surgery (with esthetic crown lengthening and soft tissue augmentation); and classical Periodontology (through periodontal regeneration and resective therapies).

Dr. Yolanda looks forward to meeting everyone in person soon (June 2022)!  Until then, you can find her enjoying any kind of outdoor activity, cooking, or reading with her partner, Eunice, and their (uncharacteristically calm) 8lb poodle, Cobi.
